Quality Inspection

Job Description

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Utilize measuring and inspection equipment including calipers, thread gauges, and related precision tools.
• Operate FaroArm CMM equipment and PolyWorks software for dimensional inspections.
• Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records.
• Support calibration activities and maintain calibration records for inspection equipment.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials and products.
• Enter inspection data into Excel and other quality tracking systems.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience with FaroArm CMM equipment.
• Experience using PolyWorks inspection software.
• Previous experience in aerospace, defense, government contracting, or precision manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of calibration systems and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
• Experience with CNC-machined parts and assemblies.

• 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Engineering drawing interpretation: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Precision measurement: Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, or comparable instruments.
• Experience with FaroArm CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment.
• Experience using PolyWorks inspection software.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection and First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Experience in aerospace, defense, government contracting, or precision manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of calibration systems and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and AS9100 quality standards.
• Experience inspecting CNC-machined parts and assemblies.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
