About the role

Job Description

  • This role will lead Facilities Management operations for Sodexo’s K-12 Schools segment, a rapidly expanding business with significant growth opportunities. As the segment continues to experience strong momentum with expanding the business.
  • This is a remote position requiring approximately 50% travel. The role provides leadership and oversight for a team of 10 direct reports, driving performance, operational excellence, and strategic execution across the K-12 Schools Facilities Management.

Additional Information

  • Location(s): Nationwide; candidates may be located anywhere in the United States. East Coast to Central time zones preferred.
  • Onsite / Hybrid / Remote: Remote.
  • Travel requirements: Approximately 50% national travel.
  • Compensation range and bonus eligibility: Salary is around $250,000. Eligible to participate in Sodexo’s incentive plan and earn variable compensation in addition to base salary.
  • Relocation notes: No relocation needed; nationwide remote opportunity.
  • Job grade, reporting context, or other screening-relevant logistics: VP2-level leadership role overseeing K-12 Schools Facilities Management operations, with leadership and oversight of 10 direct reports. Additional Role Details- This is a true multi-site, multi-state Facilities Management leadership role supporting approximately 30 client accounts and roughly $130–$140 million in managed volume. Candidates should bring experience leading complex FM operations across a significant regional or national footprint rather than responsibility for a single large account or facility.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate strong executive presence and the ability to lead effectively at every level of the organization—from senior executives and clients to operational leaders and frontline employees.
  • This role requires a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial leader who is comfortable operating in a changing environment, leading teams through transformation, and building alignment and accountability across a geographically dispersed organization.
  • Strong client leadership is essential. The VP will be expected to develop trusted relationships across multiple client organizations while supporting account retention, financial performance, and continued business growth.
  • The ideal leader will combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, using data, operational metrics, dashboards, and continuous-improvement initiatives to strengthen performance and deliver measurable value to clients.
  • A strong focus on people development is critical, including building leadership capability, strengthening succession planning, developing high-performing teams, and creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Prior experience with a facilities management contractor is not required; however, candidates must demonstrate substantial VP-level or comparable leadership experience overseeing complex, multi-location Facilities Management operations.
