POSITION SUMMARY

  • The Concrete Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all phases of commercial concrete construction projects.
  • This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards.
  • The Superintendent leads field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining strong communication with project managers, clients, and inspectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage daily field operations for multiple commercial concrete projects.
  • Supervise foremen, field crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators.
  • Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor schedules.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accurate execution.
  • Monitor production goals and adjust staffing or schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Perform regular quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets project specifications.
  • Coordinate concrete placements, reinforcing steel installation, formwork, finishing, and curing operations.
  • Communicate project progress, delays, and potential issues to Project Managers.
  • Maintain daily reports, production logs, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Resolve field issues quickly while minimizing schedule impacts.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with owners, general contractors, inspectors, and subcontractors.

Additional Information

  • Candidates can be from Oklahoma or Arkansas but need to be relatively close to the Tulsa area. Ideally candidates will be from Tulsa or the surrounding areas because crews meet at the company headquarters and travel to respective job sites together.
  • Many jobs require travel to the job sites. A company truck will be issued that the employee may use as their personal vehicle, and all fuel will be covered at 100%. Traveling home on weekends is allowed if the employee desires.
  • The company will provide lodging (or the employee may choose where to stay) and an attractive per diem that is determined based on the distance that the job site is from Tulsa.

  • Compensation Range: $80,000–$130,000
  • Job Grade, Reporting Context, or Other Screening-Relevant Logistics:
  • Total openings: 5
  • Company truck provided.
  • Fuel covered 100%.
  • Company-paid lodging (or employee-selected lodging) plus per diem based on project distance.
  • Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), and PTO.
  • Interview process:- Jean (SRG) will conduct the initial screening and submit qualified candidates to the client.
  • Client interview with the VP of Operations.
  • Hiring decision will be made following the client interview.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial concrete construction experience.

  • 3+ years in a Superintendent or Lead Foreman role preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of:- Structural concrete

  • Foundations

  • Slabs

  • Tilt-wall construction (if applicable)

  • Reinforcing steel

  • Formwork systems

  • Concrete placement and finishing

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient with construction scheduling and reporting.

  • Valid driver's license with ability to travel to project sites.

Must-haves

Must Have

  • Commercial concrete construction experience.
  • Experience as a Superintendent
  • Strong knowledge of structural concrete, foundations, slabs, reinforcing steel, formwork systems, and concrete placement/finishing.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a Lead Foreman.
