Must-haves
Must-haves Rapid onboarding and delivery mindset — able to compress multi-month work into weeks using AI.
Experience with deeper website merchandising, Design systems integration and Billing product experience.
Strong website/retail merchandising experience (CMS-driven content, templates, page strategy).
E-commerce / purchase experience knowledge (checkout flows, package purchases for CPAs).
A/B testing experience (designing, running, interpreting tests).
Comfortable interacting daily with designers and engineers (user stories, sprint refinement, minimal handoffs).
Tool familiarity: CMS platforms, Jira (or similar ticketing), basic Figma usage to collaborate with designers;
Experience in AI-assisted product delivery (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.)
High commitment and availability during tax extensions/season (responsiveness and contingency planning).
Good culture fit: collaborative, kind, team-player.
Red Flags – Do Not Submit Candidates Who Demonstrate Any of the Following during the screening process
Vague AI experience – Claims to "use AI" but cannot name specific tools, explain how they use them at each stage of the product lifecycle, provide concrete examples, or describe how they validate and remediate AI-generated outputs.
Process-over-outcomes mindset – Focuses primarily on documentation, meetings, or Agile ceremonies rather than delivering measurable product outcomes quickly.
Slow delivery approach – Describes projects that take several months without demonstrating how AI or automation was used to significantly accelerate delivery.
Limited website merchandising perspective – Views website management as maintaining individual pages rather than owning the overall site strategy, customer journey, merchandising, and conversion optimization.
Weak e-commerce or checkout experience – Lacks hands-on experience improving purchase flows, checkout optimization, subscription/package purchases, or conversion funnels.
No A/B testing experience – Cannot explain how they designed, executed, analyzed, or acted on A/B tests and experimentation results.
Weak cross-functional collaboration – Limited evidence of working closely with designers and engineers on user stories, backlog refinement, sprint planning, acceptance criteria, and iterative product delivery.
Overly scripted responses – Relies on rehearsed answers, AI-generated presentations, or polished demos but struggles to answer follow-up technical, behavioral, or situational questions with specific examples.
